Talking about healthy eating is very much in vogue and opinions differ on some points but converge on others, it seems to me. I don’t believe there is a standard diet that is suitable for everyone, for example, what I eat in my house is not necessarily ideal for anyone else, but there are very general but not unimportant bases that can be easily applied. And since it’s the beginning of the year and it’s resolution time, try to apply them in your kitchen (and in your life):
Eating seasonal produce
is essential for your body, the planet, and your wallet. Nature is wise and gives us the vegetables, fruits, and herbs we need for each season of the year.
Eat Local
local producers will thank you, the economy will thank you, and the environment will also thank you for not having so many planes and trucks transporting pressure-ripened food from the other side of the world.
Eat whole grains
they are more filling and nutritionally rich. By feeling fuller, you will also eat less and be less hungry throughout the day.
Eat outside the package
buy in bulk and avoid ready-made food with strange ingredients, including bread with ingredients you don’t know what they are.
Eat fair
buying from companies that care about you, what they make and the environment helps them grow and they deserve it. Just like The Love Food, some people dedicate their lives to simplifying and improving the lives of others through the choices they make every day. These products may be more expensive but are generally of the highest quality and trustworthy.
Eating vegan
in my opinion, it is essential for those who are aware of the impact that the industrialization of the production of meat, fish, and other animal products has on the environment, and because there is no need to kill to eat so many delicious options.
The Simple Joy of Natural Eating
Eating should be something natural and simple, not a headache or math. It should give us pleasure, energy, and a good mood, not leave us apathetic, hysterical, grumpy, or zombie-like. I also believe that a healthy diet with everything that the land and the sea give us is enough and, although each case is different, there is no need to take supplements or any other type of medication or treatment.
Achieving True Health Through Balance in All Aspects of Life
At the same time, a healthy life is not just about what we eat. Our careers/what we do are also important for our balance, such as our relationships with others, physical exercise, the way we eat, and how we like ourselves. We can eat all the broccoli in the world, but if we are sedentary, if we feel unhappy, lonely, and unmotivated, we will not be truly healthy.
